“Many thanks to everyone “
It has been an honor to be your President during the past few years. I want to thank everyone at WCAL for the time we shared, seeing all the amazing pieces of artwork, the interesting programs and the wonderful exhibitions.
Also, I want to thank all the Board Members and Chairpersons for their hard work and willingness to share their ideas and guidance, it has made my job so much easier.
To the future, I wish Sue Bonis and Jayne Cappelletti all the best for the coming year. I know WCAL is in good hands.
Unfortunately, we are still missing a Secretary. If you are interested in helping with this position, please contact Sue Bonis and Jayne Cappelletti.
Finally, I look forward to seeing everyone on Wednesday November 20th, 6:00PM at Christ the Servant Lutheran Church, 2016 Center Rd, Waukesha, WI. Our meeting will be held in the large assembly room, please bring a dish to share and any art material for the exchange.
Fondly,
Sue Cadkin
From the Program Chair
Not much to say from the presentation committee of two, but here's the plan:
Jayne and Sue are working on the presentation schedule for next year. Please bring your comments about presentations from this year, as well as suggestions for what you would like to see next year. No presenter for the final day of 2024. Instead, it will be a day of fun and sharing! 1) The fun part: Bring any and all art supplies you are no longer interested in keeping and storing. Just to make it more fun, it will be a take and steal! Anything left over will be donated. We can discuss the donation recipients. 2) The sharing part: Bring your favorite potluck item to share.

From the Website Chair
Just a reminder to everyone, our website is https://wcalwi.wixsite.com/wcal
I encourage you to visit our website and share it with anyone who may be interested in joining WCAL. I have plenty of business cards with our website QR code I will bring to the next meeting if anyone wants to take some to give out or even just for yourself.
I am also updating the website, you will see that the design of our website has changed a bit. The reason for this design change is because I feel like the way I originally designed the site was not the best, there were certain things that didn't really work well design-wise so I am making it more professional looking and easier to read. I also want our website to look the best for any new people who visit.
I am still working on updating the design of the Home Page as well as the About Us page, the rest of the site is pretty much done being updated. I am also working on adding a spot to showcase the award winners for each show, I'm thinking of either adding that to the Home Page or the specific show pages, and the award winners would change out with each show. I would like to show an image of each award winner's artwork as well. I hope to have all of this finished soon!
As always, if you have any ideas you would like to see on the website, I'm all ears!
From the Members Show Chair:
Are you ready? We have room for so much more in our Winter Show. In proofreading the form, I discovered several details to clarify...they are:
--3 pieces plus the 4th for the challenge "Nature of Things" making a total of 4
--size of "Nature of Things" is anything up to 24 inches in any direction, is best framed, plastic sleeve and mat is OK, just has to have "hangability".
--Pick up is Monday, Jan. 13 from 10 am to noon. Looking forward to your participation of wonderful pieces to represent the talent of our WCAL members.
See you at the meeting or find your envelope in the mail dated Nov. 15th.
